Threshold Aviation is a pilot supply and aviation hobby store located at the north side of Pearson airport. In October 1995 Bill Christopulos, then a flight instructor, who is presently a pilot on the Boeing 767 at Air Canada, founded Threshold Aviation. He decided that he wanted to offer the aviation community in the GTA, a place where customers could go and swap aviation stories, pick up the latest aviation reading material, and check out the latest in pilot supplies.

Originally the store was located on the 2nd floor of an industrial plaza in an 800 square foot unit. Threshold Aviation slowly started to grow as an alternative style aviation store, offering outstanding service, and top quality products.

One year after Threshold's opening, the store expanded with the addition of a new partner to the business, Mickey Bodog. Mickey has been working at Pearson International Airport since 1990 as an Aircraft serviceman for Consolidated Aviation. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge in computer flight simulation, giving the store a unique new product to the industry. This enabled Threshold to provide a wider range of products and services to better serve the local community.

In 1997 Threshold made its first location change, moving to the front of the plaza on Derry Road just east of Torbram Road. The new location, with more visibility and an excellent view of Pearson Airport, helped to increase customer familiarity with the young store. Over the next four years, Threshold continued to grow at that location. Threshold Aviation expanded its customer base, by attending local aviation trade and hobby shows. They have been an active member of the Airliners International Toronto club since 1995. In 1997 they also became Canada's first Pilot supply and aviation hobby store on the internet, introducing their website at www.thresholdaviation.com, enabling them to serve customers from around the world.

By the spring of 2001 the old location was becoming too small to accommodate the growth of the store, so in May 2001 Threshold Aviation made the move to its present location, in a ground floor unit, in the plaza on the corner of Derry Road and Torbram Road at the north side of Pearson Airport. From their humble beginnings, Threshold Aviation has grown to accommodate the growing needs of the aviation community. Currently they are located in a store with over 1600 square feet of display space, offering products such as pilot supplies, training supplies, and also a wide selection of Flight Simulation software, hardware, Books, Videos, Clothing, Pictures, and models.

The owners and staff invite everyone to stop by for visit, and look forward to seeing you! Their hours of operation are: Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm, Friday, 10am to 8pm, Saturday, 11am to 5pm, and Sunday, 11am to 4pm.
